In India,Kajal is very popular among the women. Earlier people used to apply kajal to protect eyes from dirt and dust and at the same time to enhance the beauty of eyes. Kajal in India is also used to save one from evil eye( Najar ka tika).I don't know it really does or not but people use kajal for this reason also.( mostly for infants, kids, pregnant women and brides). They used to make kajal by their own.The traditionally made kajal has all the benefits such as providing soothing to eyes,as it contain pure carbon it has the cleansing properties.

Every year on Diwali(A traditional Hindu festival) my mother prepare kajal ,and that is like a ritual for us.The kajal prepared at that time is sufficient for rest of the year. She again repeats the same next year too.I will tell you about how to make your own kajal in my next blog.Hope you will find this information interesting.

Now coming back to point as show to apply kajal like a pro and make long lasting all day.Go through the below tips to make kajal your all time favorite makeup product.

  • Before applying kajal make sure your eyes are clean.Use your left hand to genteelly pull the skin, this will make your lower water line visible. Now with small stokes apply kajal to the visible water line.
  • Use flat or angled brushes to create drama such smoky eyes or to make thicker kajal line.
  • If you like thick line of kajal always use angled kajal brushes.
  • Apply kajal under your upper water line(area below the eyelashes). This technique will make your eyes look bigger, more opened and alive.Try this technique for no makeup, makeup look.
  • If  you have oily skin or your water line is watery, use translucent settling powder to avoid any spillage, Use small brush to apply powder.
